VCST to present at Centre for Creative Changemaking

VCST is excited to announce that we will be presenting a participatory workshop in the Royal Roads University Centre for Creative Changemaking inaugural conference!

In the conference, we will debut a new workshop have been developing called: The Living Experience of Trauma Survivors in Our Community: Role-Playing Systemic Barriers to Build Coalitions. This workshop takes a participatory and experiential approach to building empathy for survivors of trauma in our communities. Through role-play, participants will gain an appreciation for the systemic barriers to services and care that survivors of torture and trauma experience in their daily lives.

The RRU Centre for Creative Changemaking showcases community work that builds toward “a world that is more equitable, connected, and joyful.” With an emphasis on relationship building, the Centre seeks to inspire and connect changemakers across disciplines and sectors. VCST’s Interconnectedness Initiative is a natural fit and we honoured to be included in the conference.
